Cowboy Ted’s Foundation for Kids
As part of a semester-long project, we were assigned teams to create research-based business strategies designed to support local clients. Our group was assigned to consult Cowboy Ted’s Foundation for Kids, an educational program aimed at children ranging from kindergarten to third grade that promotes healthy living.
Our team created improvements and suggestions aimed at building up brand awareness, creating a cohesive visual identity, and improving the website design. We utilized demographic research to support our modifications and presented everything to the head of the program.
Tide Detergent
For this project, we were tasked to create a campaign for Tide detergent to help entice consumers to purchase eco-friendly detergent and to inspire them to wash their clothes in cold water. This project consisted of researching and developing an IMC media timeline, creative concept, and pitch. This project was inspired by the prompt of the National Student Advertising Competition’s collaboration with Tide for their 2023-24 competition.
Like many long-term projects, I was allowed to improve my communication and collaboration skills. I also found it interesting and challenging to work on a campaign so focused on sustainability and corporate responsibility.
Zero Degrees Hard Seltzer
For this project, we selected a company to create a mock sub-brand and product to pitch to investors. My friends often make jokes to me about how I am fueled by caffeine, so I chose to make a sub-brand for Celsius Energy, an energy drink company.
Zero Degrees Hard Seltzer is a 21+ counterpart to their classic product that features adaptogenic herbs to promote wellness while you unwind. This campaign was developed over 16 weeks in which we were able to collaborate and discuss ideas with our classmates and professors.
We were required to design all aspects of our campaign alongside producing mock ads, creating and managing budgets, strategizing, and pitching our proposal. I am particularly proud of the logo as it was one of the elements that took the longest to develop. I am also proud of how much my Adobe skills improved across all platforms as all aspects of this project were created through various Adobe software.
NourishU
The “NourishU” campaign was developed as part of an assignment aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of heart disease and promoting healthier eating habits among college students. Our task was to create a campaign proposal and survey instrument using psychology-based persuasion techniques.
In this project, I took a more scientific and psychological approach to my messaging strategy compared to other campaigns. This allowed me to gain valuable experience applying various advertising strategies in a more precise way, while reinforcing my understanding of different persuasive techniques and arguments.
